The Horn of Africa Community Group in Shepherds Bush is an amazing space for young people in W12. The young people from the centre developed ideas, wrote and produced a performance piece called Changing Faces which was presented at the Riverside Studios in May 2009.
Together We Create ran a number of film making workshops and supported the team in the creation of the film.

At this point I would like to find out from your community group how they feel about having a market and whether they would be interested in using it as a fund raising tool?
The idea is to run the market on Saturdays and allow the local businesses, schools and community groups to have stalls. My hope is that in addition to boosting local business we could give your community group and others like it, a chance to raise money for their activities and raise awareness of their existence. Hopefully it will also bring the various different parts of our diverse community together.
I will be consulting with LBHF council at the end of April and would dearly love to have some feedback from you guys. If anyone in your group could spare half an hour I would like to drop by with a questionnaire and get some of your thoughts…
